GRAPHIC STUDIES TO UNDERSTAND MY SURROUNDINGS.
I spent a semester abroad traveling through Scandinavia. It was a transformative experience, but I also spent a lot of time living as an isolated foreigner. In the moments where I feel the most overstimulated and lost, I turn to graphic mediums as a visual diary.
Through these simple graphic explorations, I am able to process my experiences. I looked to local artists and the sites that I visited for inspiration. This ultimately helped build my depth of understanding of Scandinavian culture and their pragmatic approach to design.
